About Active Neuroinclusion

Emily, the founder of Active Neuroinclusion, is stood in a field leading a cricket activity. She holds a bat and glove, with a stump and bag of cricket balls next to her.

Hello! I’m Emily, the face behind Active Neuroinclusion.

I founded Active Neuroinclusion as a way to educate more people about neurodivergence, aiming to create safe and supportive environments in which neurodivergent people can thrive.

Playing and coaching sports in a variety of settings, I observed the strengths of neurodivergent individuals, as well as the barriers they face. I realised that many coaches, teachers, leaders and course developers didn’t account for everybody’s brains working differently. In some cases this was a lack of awareness, and in others it was a preference for convenience.

I decided that although I could create positive sport experiences through coaching, I would have a far greater impact by educating others in these environments.

Do you want to help neurodivergent athletes, children and coaches to enjoy learning and being active, reach their potential and feel safe and supported when disclosing their needs?
